Scrunchy Labyrinth

This is just a color shifted image of the scrunchy soap thing I use in the shower.

Post-Christmas Blur

Here’s some choice shots of Christmas lights going bonkers at night with my new point and shoot camera. All from Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Dead Superheroes

Oh, no!!  Is that you, Spidey?!?

It looks like Spiderman had a bad night in Maspeth, Greenpoint’s trashy industrial goth neighbor.

Not far from my first find, Bop Buddy wasn’t looking too good either.

From Queens, NY.

25 Night Photos of Christmas Lights in McGolrick Heights (Greenpoint) PART 2

It’s Christmas in Brooklyn, people. And my part of Greenpoint, Brooklyn has been known to me for many years as McGolrick Heights.  Subtract the rough & tumble junkies of Greenpoint Avenue and add the quaint coziness of the drunk McGolrick Park poopers and a dash of holiday spirit (or is it spirits?) and you are in my hood.   I’ve included residences and businesses alike. I especially enjoy the range of possibilities available out there this season; I like some people’s very minimalist approach and at the same time, you just gotta love when people go all out. National Grid says thank you. Enjoy, kiddos! Check out PART 1 here.

Ten Maspeth Trash Vignettes

Wherever you can find any kind of natural growth in certain parts of industrial New York, you will find interwoven trash and debris as though they were somehow intended to exist together.  It’s sad, disgusting and kind of beautiful.

Slapped In Dumbo

All images from the corner of Washington and Water Streets, Dumbo, Brooklyn.
