Mess On Meserole

I was pretty dumb-founded when I saw this in my neighborhood.

It’s a big annoying pile of litter from some asshole.

It’s also tactile, colorful and made me laugh out loud.

Mmmmmm.. popcorn.  Richard Meserole would be proud.

Partial Edit

That “heartbeat” tag that’s everywhere these days got an interesting edit on Union Avenue, Brooklyn.

Wythe Carnival

In addition to yesterday’s Williamsburg Walks event, I stumbled uopn this impromptu carnival on Wythe Avenue between South 2nd & 3rd.

I love the “alternate market” version of Batman and the dude chillin’ on it.

Williamsburg Gawks

Here’s some shots from yesterday’s Williamsburg Walks. Bedford Avenue is shut down for 10 blocks and rolls of sod are brought in. I like it because of my urban anti-car fantasies and I’ve always loved the collective celebration of not doing much, almost like the beach. Even though it may appear as a temporary Midwestern refugee camp for hipsters, it’s also relaxed and fun. There’s one more next weekend.

Also, you don’t still really think that hipsters are causing the decline of the middle class are you? Come on.

Interesting Perspective

I think this is a minimalist drawing of gas or poo coming out of a man’s ass, but perhaps it’s something else. Anyone have a suggestion?

5 Pointz Hydrantz

5 pointz is still alive and it’s still evolving. The murals are cool, but I also like the simple combinations of colors on a free standing, three dimensional object, like these hydrant stands.
