And now for some political advertising…

Surely you’ve heard of those FEMEN girls by now, right?  They’re kinda hard to miss.

From Wikipedia: FEMEN is a Ukrainian protest group based in Kiev, founded in 2008…

..the organisation became internationally known for organizing topless protests against sex tourists, international marriage agencies, sexism and other social, national and international ills.

Some of the goals of the organisation are: “To develop leadership, intellectual and moral qualities of the young women in Ukraine” and “To build up the image of Ukraine, the country with great opportunities for women”.

As of late April 2010 the organisation is contemplating becoming a political party to run for seats in the next Ukrainian parliamentary election. More here.

Google has a new image search function that allows you to search for images not based on text that you enter, but based on a picture that you submit (upload).  Google then uses whatever crazy algorithim they developed to find “visually similar” images to match your query.  I find these collections of images presented on your computer screen to be aesthetically pleasing and the whole concept to be quite interesting and fun.  So, since it’s Wednesday, I decided to Google image search with pornographic images to see what it would come up with.
