We just got back from Maker Faire at the Hall of Science in Queens, New York.
WIKI: Maker Faire is an event created by Make Magazine to “celebrate arts, crafts, engineering, science projects and the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset.”
We’ve been planning to go for a while and we’re glad we went, but $28 a person was a bit steep. It continues Sunday and you should check it out, or you can just look at my pictures.

The biggest thing at Maker Faire this year were 3D printing machines. We must have seen a hundred of them being used throughout the exhibition. You can basically reproduce any shape that you could ever imagine and print it out with hot melty plastic. The blue machine above retails for about $3,000.

Stuff like this can be printed out from an image. Pretty damn cool.
