Tangled Stone

Using several image manipulation apps on my “phone” I turned this monstrous palace on Leonard Street in Greenpoint,  into a labyrinth of bricks and windows.

WednesdayGram: Cold Chillin’ In Full Effect

I’ve been randomly taking pictures of ice cubes in water all summer, not sure why, maybe just as a way to teach myself all of the ways to manipulate a common abstract texture using image apps on my phone.

Here are nine of my favorite shots of the cold stuff using Decim8, Picfx, AntiCrop and Photoshop before using Instagram to share the love with one and all.

WednesdayGram: Stellar Sunset

I’ve decided that I’m going to post my favorite InstaGram shots that I’ve been taking recently.  I like to use several apps to manipulate images before it even enters the InstaGram app.

I took a picture of a beautiful Summer sunset on the corner of Kingsland & Nassau Avenues in Greenpoint.  I increased the contrast and then added the “Stellar” filter from the “Galaxy group” from the Picfx app and then finally used the “Lo-Fi” filter in InstaGram.

All done inside my little phone.  My handle on Instagram is: polymicrospasm

Old & New

One of my commuting from work bus stops.  On Jackson Avenue, Queens using the Camera + App and then Color Splash App, all done by the time I get off the bus. Makes the trip faster, too.
