WednesdayGram: Stellar Sunset

I’ve decided that I’m going to post my favorite InstaGram shots that I’ve been taking recently.  I like to use several apps to manipulate images before it even enters the InstaGram app.

I took a picture of a beautiful Summer sunset on the corner of Kingsland & Nassau Avenues in Greenpoint.  I increased the contrast and then added the “Stellar” filter from the “Galaxy group” from the Picfx app and then finally used the “Lo-Fi” filter in InstaGram.

All done inside my little phone.  My handle on Instagram is: polymicrospasm

S C I F R I: More Macro Fun

The images above were taken of a stem from the perennial plant genus, Solanum, which we have growing on our rooftop garden.  A random dead leaf wrapped itself around it, held securely by the plants sturdy spikes.

The photos were taken using a wide angle lens and a macro lens made for the iPhone.  Also, the Camera+  App was used, not the regular camera app that comes with the phone, which is highly inferior.

Hick’s In Diptics

Hick’s is a sweet ass plant nursery on Long Island.  It’s like all the cute little Brooklyn plant stores in one.  I took pictures with the Camera+ app on my phone and then I used the Diptic app to make the pictures more fun.
