It’s Christmas in Brooklyn, people. And my part of Greenpoint, Brooklyn has been known to me for many years as McGolrick Heights. Subtract the rough & tumble junkies of Greenpoint Avenue and add the quaint coziness of the drunk McGolrick Park poopers and a dash of holiday spirit (or is it spirits?) and you are in my hood. I’ve included residences and businesses alike. I especially enjoy the range of possibilities available out there this season; I like some people’s very minimalist approach and at the same time, you just gotta love when people go all out. Christmas is long gone, but this supposed additive for Egg Nog is still the only advertised liquor on several stores in Greenpoint. It’s cheap and strong as fuck. Next time you see a load of barf on our fine sidewalks (and you know you will) thank your local merchant for supplying only the best.
