FROM HURON STREET

Amazing Technicolor

You know where this is at. Everyone’s taken this picture. It’s still some awesome brickage, though.

From Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

5 Pointz Hydrantz

5 pointz is still alive and it’s still evolving. The murals are cool, but I also like the simple combinations of colors on a free standing, three dimensional object, like these hydrant stands.

Queens Octopus

From 51st Avenue in Long Island City, Queens, NY.

Some coincidental light refraction going on up in here.

1970′s Williamsburg

Present day shots that look olde school.

25 Night Photos of Christmas Lights in McGolrick Heights (Greenpoint) PART 2

It’s Christmas in Brooklyn, people. And my part of Greenpoint, Brooklyn has been known to me for many years as McGolrick Heights.  Subtract the rough & tumble junkies of Greenpoint Avenue and add the quaint coziness of the drunk McGolrick Park poopers and a dash of holiday spirit (or is it spirits?) and you are in my hood.   I’ve included residences and businesses alike. I especially enjoy the range of possibilities available out there this season; I like some people’s very minimalist approach and at the same time, you just gotta love when people go all out. National Grid says thank you. Enjoy, kiddos! Check out PART 1 here.

Color Day Dream

Sometimes I just see a busy pattern of bright colors and shapes and it makes me feel aware.

Then I focus and see these every day objects for sale on Havemeyer Street, Brooklyn.
