I wish I could say this debris was caused from Sandy, but this is just your typical strangeness found in industrial / movie set Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

It’s Christmas in Brooklyn, people. And my part of Greenpoint, Brooklyn has been known to me for many years as McGolrick Heights. Subtract the rough & tumble junkies of Greenpoint Avenue and add the quaint coziness of the drunk McGolrick Park poopers and a dash of holiday spirit (or is it spirits?) and you are in my hood. I’ve included residences and businesses alike. I especially enjoy the range of possibilities available out there this season; I like some people’s very minimalist approach and at the same time, you just gotta love when people go all out. National Grid says thank you. Enjoy, kiddos! Check out PART 1 here.

You just got to wonder how certain things wind up on the street.
It reminds me of the panties I found at the end of a rainbow once.

That is one exceptional patch of grass I would have to say. When I saw this on Kingsland Avenue, south of the BQE, I kinda wanted to just sprawl out on it and take a nap, provided there really isn’t any pee-pee here. This kind of quality grass just does not exist in any park system in or near Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
You got to respect that cute little sign. I say good luck with that.
