PULASKI TUG

FROM THE GORGEOUS

BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER

BETWEEN BROOKLYN AND QUEENS

Maspeth Greenpoint

All of the equipment being used on Nassau Avenue’s construction project comes from a Maspeth, Queens company.  No biggie. Sometimes, though, coming home from work and seeing this in my neighborhood can be confusing.  Where am I?

Beach Bleachers

An fairly elaborate leftover seating arrangement that was near a bonfire at Jacob Riis Beach in Queens.

That Newtown Glow

The orangey view from the Pulaski Bridge to down below beside Newtown Creek.

5 Pointz Hydrantz

5 pointz is still alive and it’s still evolving. The murals are cool, but I also like the simple combinations of colors on a free standing, three dimensional object, like these hydrant stands.

Cafe Silo

This cafe has been here for over 80 years. From 46th Road in LIC.

Alternate Entrances

Interesting doorways from Vernon Blvd, LIC, Queens, NY, USA.

Nearby, down the stairs of the 7 train, there’s a surprising residential doorway.

Queens Octopus

From 51st Avenue in Long Island City, Queens, NY.

Some coincidental light refraction going on up in here.

Vernon Charm

From Vernon Blvd in Long Island City, Queens.

Random Comps

From Long Island City, Queens.
