That’s one shiny long van blocking my path, think I’ll gaze into your reflection for a moment and take a picture of this building.

It’s Christmas in Brooklyn, people. And my part of Greenpoint, Brooklyn has been known to me for many years as McGolrick Heights. Subtract the rough & tumble junkies of Greenpoint Avenue and add the quaint coziness of the drunk McGolrick Park poopers and a dash of holiday spirit (or is it spirits?) and you are in my hood. I’ve included residences and businesses alike. I especially enjoy the range of possibilities available out there this season; I like some people’s very minimalist approach and at the same time, you just gotta love when people go all out. National Grid says thank you. Enjoy, kiddos! Check out PART 1 here.

Shiny shiny shiny shots from the City of Long Island, Queens.
Click on individual images to see them nice and big (and shiny).
It’s hard for me to imagine that these buildings are full or that anything too great is happening within those walls. There’s nothing inviting about them. They look like they were done by the same shiny building developer.
