This is the scene inside Greenpoint’s famous grocery store, The Garden. An “A” for execution and creepiness.

I used to live less than a block away from The Garden in the “historic” part of Greenpoint. I must have funneled $10K+ into this place over the years on expensive cheese, prepared Polish food & desserts of all kinds. But that was in a different economy. Walking through it today, for the first time in about half a year, it made me feel like I was visiting an estranged ex-girlfriend or better yet, an old habit that cost me way too much. The interior design and frenzy of food has a subconscious effect that just seduces you into spending $35 more than you were planning to. I ended up leaving and not buying anything. Like that old blow habit, I’m so done with you The Garden.
